Fly fishing for tarpon in Apalachicola, Florida is a very unique experience that every angler should try at least once. The warm waters of the gulf provide the perfect habitat for these massive fish, attracting world class anglers from around the world.
The best time to target tarpon in Apalachicola is during the summer months, when the fish migrate to Apalachicola Bay in large numbers. May through August are the prime months for tarpon fishing. Anglers can expect the chance to catch tarpon from 50 to 200 pounds, providing an adrenaline pumping challenge that will test there patients, skill and strength.

With summer winding down and the kids getting ready for school. The fly fishing remains great out of Carrabelle Florida. During August & September fishing out of Carrabelle can provide opportunities at tarpon, jacks, cobia, redfish, triple tail, black drum and a whole lot more.  The weathers hot and so is the fishing no matter if your fishing with a fly rod are using conventional tackle this an amazing time to go fishing.
